30th September - 6th October 2018
The week could best be described as ‘ladies from families’ cruise. There were travelling: 2 sisters, 2 cousins and mother and daughter - perfectly balanced with three couples. Nationalities were from America, England and Belgium - it is not often we have Belgians on board, so with Rita and our tour guide Fabrice we were setting a record for the season.
On Thursday we welcomed Emma, an agent for our Vezelay tour, lunch in the village and then the cruise from Mailly-le-Chateau to Chatel Censoir. The weather could not have been more beautiful. The afternoon heat of the day meant it was even shorts for the keen. Who would believe that - shorts in October.
Chris Kelly from La Maison du Visiteur gave his enlightening explanation of the use of tools and light in the building of the basilica. Inspiring, illuminating and humbling as always.
Long time Luciole friend, Pat joined us from Colorado. What a delightful cruise it was - with wonderful passengers and crew. Big thanks to one and all.
