The final week of our season and we welcomed a delightful 3 generation family to the Luciole. Everyone fell in love with the cheeriest 10 month old, little lad Alexander. The hosts planned to stow the babe away at the end of the week, which was a first. Usually it is the passengers planning to whisk the chef away!

Lunch was enjoyed in Vézelay followed by a visit to the local brewery which proved very popular - beer was sampled and bottles brought home for all to enjoy, back on the barge.

The sun shone and the Autumn colours were bright along the Nivernais Canal. Thank you Robert and Joan for brining your offspring, their partners and your precious grandson. It was delightful sharing our last week with you, a great finale to the Luciole’s 53rd season of continual cruising.
