On Sunday evening, the sunset was stunning. Host Ebba and I couldn’t resist capturing the moment with a photo and a cheerful wave.
As always, Chef Nicolas created sumptuous combinations for every meal - a perfect picture on the plate and creataive flavours to marvel over. Our passengers ask how he does it, and in fact, it’s a question we often ask ourselves. We crew certainly appreciate it as much as the passengers!
For piloting there were numerous crew at the wheel under the watchful eye of Captain Kevin. Cailan our matelot of 3 years is a regular. Not so our tour guide Vincent – this is why we celebrated the moment that Vincent took the wheel and cruised down ‘the cut’. Bravo!
The visit to Vézelay was as inspiring as ever. Afterwards, it was back to Penny’s for Rosé and the first fire of the season in the big red Gaudin. There’s nothing like a fire to welcome the cooler months.
On Captain's Dinner evening, James, our onboard ‘Cocktail King,’ was as busy as ever. It was lovely to toast a wonderful group of passengers this week in Clamecy. Our thanks to you all.
