Spring - Preseason
Spring on the Luciole, having spent the winter all wrapped up on her mooring in Auxerre, we started preparing for the season early this year - however, we have taken on a large work load. Every year we invest everything back into the Luciole, with the aim of improving the boat. This year we are changing the colour scheme in the cabins and giving them a serious overhaul and spruce up throughout, painting them a lighter and brighter colour. Among numerous other things, we have also upgraded the crew and utility area, the galley’s floor, storage and fridges and sanded then painted the exterior, including the wooden sundeck. The boat is looking great for the start of the season, but it wouldn’t be without some serious help, especially from Sarah, Harry and Roy, their hard work, care and attention has meant so much and is clear the moment you step onboard.
The crew arrived up with a couple of weeks to go, helping out with the final push and finding their feet. We are grateful to have Captain Jim, tour guide Vincent, deckhand Cailan and top chef Nicholas returning this year, they have been joined by hostess Al and Rose, who are running the show inside.
