2nd - 8th June 2019
A week off has arrived and after a busy first four weeks of continuous cruising everyone was delighted to be able to take a breather and recharge the batteries. Some even drifted as far as the bright lights of Paris and Dijon.
Excitement is never far away on the Luciole - this weeks was the arrival of the new oven. The space through the saloon doors is tight. The carrying down the two steps was easy-peasy compared to the last occasion we swapped ovens was ten years ago and at that time the staircase down to the cabins was in the middle of the saloon.
Oh the fun and games lifting a very heavy oven up and over banisters. The manoeuvre requiring mathematical precision and circus like skills. Never the less, even on this occasion, its a well done to the guys for all the hard work and boat manoeuvring. A day to remember for sure!
The weather came and went. Sadly there was no pot of gold to be found on the Pont Paul Bert.
