Pre season 2019

Always a hive of activity to prepare the Luciole for her coming season. Old and new friends and crew are welcomed as we beavered away after the winter break. The Fete de Travail, celebrated in France on the 1 May, came and went with the marking of traditional Lily of the Valley, meanwhile on the Luciole it was still all hands to the pumps and paintbrushes.

There is always lots to do. The barge is painted inside and out, new crew tackled the outside and dear Roy, our long time inside painter, worked his usual magic in the interior. New curtains were hung and cushions put on display in the saloon, with fresh white linen and floral cushions in the cabins. A fleet of new bikes adorned the foredeck and suddenly we are all set to go…..

As always thank you to everyone involved for preparing the barge for her 54th season of cruising. The Luciole is looking the best she ever has...
