4th - 10th May 2025
Following our busy winter and the visit to the Paris shipyard, we chose not to cruise this week. The crew took time to breathe at our mooring in Auxerre, with some visiting home - ranging as far as Brittany in the west, Lille in the north, and Dijon to the south.
The Tourist Office gave Penny the opportunity to visit the Tour de l’Horloge in the centre of town. The splendid 15th-century gilded clock face indicates solar time as well as the phases of the moon. The view from the top is spectacular, offering a panorama that includes the Cathedral of Saint Étienne and stretches across to the vineyards of the Côte d’Auxerre.
Before long the crew were all aboard again and ready to welcome our passengers for a new week. It was lovely to be cruising again.
