A charter group of friends brought sunshine and laughter to kick off the second half of our season. On Sunday night, Nicolas, our chef extraordinaire, whipped up an anniversary cake of chocolate and strawberries for Bill and Linda, bringing gasps of awe.

Jerry impressed us all by catching an enormous fish—hats off to you! It might make us think twice about swimming next time we're tempted.

After two wonderful years, Captain Jim is closing his Luciole chapter to take an ambulance driver course. We will miss you, Jim, but knowing you live close to the canal, we’re sure we won’t lose touch. Just as we’re still in touch with Captain Francisco, who was with us for nine years. Francisco cruised with us on Tuesday, saying it felt as if he had never left. It's true—six years can go by in a flash.
