24th – 30th September 2023
A group of fun friends with long connections to the Scouting movement in America cruised this week, with their leader Kathy.
The bikes were in action once again whilst others chose rest and relaxation on the sundeck. No better way to take in the 360 degree non interrupted view of the glorious countryside of the Nivernais Canal.
In the month of October it is noticeable how the evenings are drawing in and the daylight is softer. Walking to the delightful restaurant in Accolay, past the Church Saint-Nizier, the sun has now sunk low in the sky. This week the sky was particularly bright showing off dramatically the silhouette of the church against the fading hues.
Despite the cooler weather, in Vincelles, our favourite swimming spot, Cailan and Alex took a last opportunity to dive off the bow deck. Well, we think it was the last time, but there again we said that two weeks ago!
After a short break away we were delighted to welcome back our wonderful chef Nicolas, who as usual delighted and surprised with his culinary creations and wry humoured presentations of his fayre.
