Along with American passengers, we welcomed an Australian couple who originally booked so long ago, before the Covid pandemic, when unfortunately their cruise was postponed. However, they were finally able to join us this year, it was lovely to have them on board at last, for another blue sky week, with lovely evening sunsets along the Nivernais Canal.

Cailan our matelot put the new garden loppers to good use, trimming unruly tree branches and brambles that overhung the canal, brushing the boat and threaten passengers relaxing on the deck or his own ankles when striding the side decks - Good job Cailan!

Our host Tom, was coming to the end of weeks on the Luciole – thank you Tom – you certainly added panache with your sculptured blond curls.
