Such a joyful week, what more can we say? The crew felt honoured to be a part of this delightful 3-generation family. We really did.

On Monday we took to the saddle and rode into the sun-baked, recently harvested corn fields and then down into the cool forest. Tuesday saw the youngsters eating ice creams in Chablis – it was wine tasting for the grown ups and how lovely and cool the Caves of Bailly were at the end of the excursion. On Thursday it was canoeing in the peace and calm on the River Cure – well that was until we literally bumped into 100 teenagers from London in a sea of blue canoes as far as the eye could see. It made us laugh. They were there for a French language course, but the vocalising of the difficulties they were experiencing in their canoes was definitely all in English!

Friday and the finale in Clamecy. On a still 14th July night, fireworks filled the warm evening sky, reflecting onto the River Yonne. Thank you for the memories lovely family.
