All the way from Australia, friends old and new for a fun week aboard the Luciole. Taking to bikes or strolling the canal, coming home to wine or beer (happy to have found the perfect cans for you) was the order of the day.
Wednesday was a bit tense, for the Women’s Football semi-final, Australia versus England. Disappointment was raw and certainly then experience by English fans on losing the final to Spain. Times like this, it is good to remember it is only a game and thank you Australia , you were the perfect hosts of the tournament.
Nicolas created his usual stunning lunches – on Thursday Sue donned the kitchen blue apron to ward against Toulouse sausage splashes. Elegance personified. Later that night, it was hunt the after dinner tipple with my usual phrase of get on your knees and pray it is lurking in there! Oh how we laughed. We love it when passengers feel so at home on the Luciole.
The burgundy bimini over the Captain’s wheel is a great success. As always Jim’s steering skills were marvelled over, including the speed he can spin the wheel a product of his proud 6 generation heritage of barging.
