Spring 2022
Spring is here and it’s time to dust away the cobwebs in preparation for the start of the season on May 1st. We have made some great upgrades and improvements over winter, in the cabins, saloon, galley, crew areas and engine room. It’s been a very mild March with lots of lovely golden sunshine, highlighting the large patches of yellow canola fields, great weather for preparing the boat.
France has released restrictions for masks in most public places and the COVID pass has been removed. It’s as if the country has really bloomed and blossomed, just like the cherry trees that line the Parisian streets, filling the pavements with pink petals, they also fill many gaps in the vines on local hillsides. A lot of cherries are grown here, planted as a response to phylloxera which was a blight to the vines in the mid-19th Century, providing an alternative to grapes.
