Another delightful family charter group. Little ones made camps in the saloon, building fortresses with cushions and throws, turning the chairs around, hiding under the tables, defending the boat from pirates.
We visited the special and internationally acclaimed Guedelon – the medieval manor house in the making, using medieval practises and rediscovering past techniques, the workers even in the attire. Then overcoming fear in zip lining through the trees.
A lock gate was broken and our cruise was delayed on Wednesday, but this gave the family the opportunity to explore the local village and test out the hot pizza vending machine in the village square (baguettes were available too but not put to the test!). Not bad was the conclusion but not a touch on the wonders that Nicolas conjures from the galley.
