Our first week of passengers! It had been 659 days since we last had guests on board, and it was excellent.

Preparing the boat mid-summer instead of early spring was slightly strange, but otherwise it was as if nothing had changed. After being sat still for such a long time, the boat was given a really good coat of paint, a lot of sanding was done and the decks were taken back to bare metal.

The week was a truly family affair, with a Spanish twist, three generations from Tenerife joined us. The weather was mild for summer, but bright and fresh, ideal. An active bunch with a surprise hot air balloon trip and canoeing down the river Cure. There was double mother and son partnerships in the crew, Gael who first worked for us over 35 years ago and her son Oscar with Penny as tour guide and Will with his first week as captain. Aptly joined by the experienced Cheryl and Nick returned to the kitchen, a highly talented wizard with food.
