We welcomed aboard a charter group. A well-travelled and passionate group that were a joy to have aboard the Luciole. Pierre as always steady at the helm and Ronnie drove our bus, threading through the lanes of our corner of Burgundy. Here along the Nivernais it is still apparent that John Liley’s book ‘France – The Quiet Way’ is still the order of the day.
The weather was slightly mixed, but oh when it mattered the sun shone sun through. The history of France, so expressed in her architecture through the ages, was lost on no one.
