A family charter group joined the Luciole on the day of the end of the Tour de France. The rendezvous just off the Avenue de Champs-Elysees was a little bit of a challenge, but Captain Francisco pulled it off. Sunday night in Auxerre was as thrilling as ever and the ‘little ones’ made good use of the fountains. Dripping they were - on a hot summers night.

Our Californian family was full of energy - it was tree climbing and a visit to Guedelon on the Monday, horse riding and a visit to Auxerre on Tuesday, Noyers-sur-Serein and Cave wall climbing on Wednesday, Vezelay and lots of swimming on Thursday and on Friday - canoeing the calm and tranquil River Cure to finish. Perfect being in the cool of the trees - shading us from the sun. It has been a hot week. Thank goodness for our excellent AC systems!
