Summer
It’s finally time to dust away the cobwebs. We have our first week in nearly 2 years in August and so we are getting the boat ready. Over this time we have done a lot of work and improvements, especially in the engine room, following what became a 3 month trip to the shipyard due to the canal being shut.
The Luciole has sat still for some time, so we are really focusing on the exterior paint and protecting the metal work, to make sure she is looking her best. This has meant sanding down the paint work all the way to metal on the decks, which is quite a few layers as these are often painted more than once a season.
Freedom from the virus is becoming more normal, but there are certain things as reminders, such as preparing the boat in the middle of summer.
