This winter has seen a very cold patch for most of Europe, a change from the mild and wet winters of previous years. A cold spell is good news for the vines; breaking down the soils to release nutrients and killing off parasites.
The Luciole moors in Auxerre for the winter and we keep her heated. This is much better for the wood, soft furnishings and plumbing. We also put many things into storage.
Auxerre has seen a bit of snow, from the depression that has been blown in across continental Europe, from Siberia. We have also seen some flooding which affected the River Yonne and Seine through Paris, thankfully the waters have calmed.
