Spring 2016

The winter has gone and springtime has arrived in Burgundy. On board the Luciole, pre season work is in full swing as we renovate bathrooms, alter the galley and begin the pre-season paint of the cabins and saloon.

Crew are all at the ready to join the barge next month. Captain Francisco is back, fresh from a holiday to his native Chile. Our new tour guide Andy, who learnt so much from our guide Anna last year, has been working on our bathrooms and is a real asset to the team.

On board as well, is Roy our Scottish master of decorating. William Liley too, fresh from the Alps is making improvements, the galley is his present project; whilst winter was building our new website.

We are delighted to announce the return of Marc, our talented chef who joined us at the end of the 2013 season. Marc is with us until he travels to Australia in July. His good friend Jade takes his place when he departs.

Also returning is Tom, our matelot since 2013, and host George from our 2014 season. George also provided holiday cover last year. For the first week of the season and to set up the Luciole for the whole season, Emma is returning to assist in the organisation with George. Its how we keep the same family atmosphere from one season to another.

The new crew are Arthur Liley and Amelia, who are sharing the second host role. Arthur has been visiting the Luciole since he was a baby and Amelia has visited on a number of occasions already.

As ever, the Luciole and her crewing family look forward to passengers cruising with us this season.
