FOOD AND WINE ON THE LUCIOLE
It is our great delight that meals on board the Luciole are treasured times: a summer luncheon or dinner by candlelight, an opportunity to sit, relax and share with friends, old or new. The warm ambiance, for which the Luciole is renowned, is no better experienced than when gathered round a table with the anticipation of unfolding culinary delights.
Our chef is encouraged to be innovative and imaginative, marrying French cuisine with a contemporary twist whilst using fresh local ingredients to inspire and spoil you. Our day commences with the arrival of freshly baked breads and pastries. Lunch is a feast of salads and savoury dishes, followed by a selection of cheese. The four-course evening meal is the gastronomic highlight of each day, to be concluded, on the starlit nights for which Burgundy is noted, with coffee on our sun deck
French wines from far and near are chosen to complement the menu. With Chablis on our doorstep, local vineyards are well represented. Wines from the Cote D'Or and Loire Valley are also on our list, together with selections from Bordeaux and the Alsace.
Special diets are catered for by our experienced chef. We request notification before your cruise and then just have a word with our chef, when you arrive on board.
At the end of the week our passengers are given the menus and wines as a souvenir of their week on the Luciole.
